One of our values at Campbell Lutyens is to always consider our wider responsibilities in society and our approach to environmental, social and governance (ESG) considerations.
We are committed to not only managing ESG risks but also building a sustainable future for our firm and those we work with. This includes how we address ESG and sustainability issues in our internal operations, as well as the positive impact we can have through the influence and advice we provide to our clients.
Our ESG principles
As part of our commitment to ESG we seek to:
- Demonstrate the highest degree of integrity and ensure we comply with applicable laws and regulations
- Take ESG factors and sustainability into consideration in deciding who we do business with, through both our client and supplier selection processes
- Continuously improve our position on ESG by establishing and delivering against commitments, targets and KPIs
- Encourage and support our team to actively participate in identifying and addressing opportunities and risks relating to ESG and sustainable investment, by providing communication, training, guidance, tools and other resources
Managing our environmental impact: Carbon offset
We are focused on managing our environmental impacts. This includes reducing our carbon footprint through a range of technology or behaviour-led energy reduction initiatives, exploring ways in which we can offset the impact, and optimise the business travel we undertake. We are also reducing the amount of waste we generate and increasing recycling rates.
We have been certified as a carbon neutral organisation by Carbon Footprint and have offset our carbon footprint through a wind based power generation project.
Industry engagement: UNPRI
We are a signatory to the UN-supported Principles for Responsible Investment (UN PRI) and actively contributed to the development of the UN PRI guidance Incorporating responsible investment requirements into private equity fund terms.
The PRI is an international global network of asset managers, owners and service providers working together to put responsible investment into practice. The principles, which are voluntary, aim to provide a framework for integrating ESG considerations into investment decision-making and ownership practices.
Industry engagement: Net Zero
We joined the UN Net Zero Financial Services Provider Alliance as a founding member in 2021. As a member, we have committed to align our advisory services across infrastructure, private equity and private credit to achieve net zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2050, in line with the Paris Agreement.
